Black Cherry Lane is an exhibition that grew out of the film American Graveyard produced by Heather Quinlan. It came about because no surviving visuals could be found of Cherry Lane Cemetery or the AME Zion church that once stood there. So artists including quilters, miniaturists, painters and tintype photographers stepped in to reimagine the site and its community. Archival material will be featured courtesy of Historic Richmond Town and the Staten Island Museum, with programming throughout the month.

The gallery is located at 55 Richmond Terrace in Empire Outlets on Staten Island and will be Wed–Fri 12–4 and weekends 11–4 through October 25.
