URHPCR is restoring the historic Stephen and Harriet Myers Residence so that it can become a dynamic, interactive historic site where visitors can experience Underground Railroad history. It organizes an annual public history conference, holds numerous educational programs for diverse audiences, conducts a year round educational program for teens, publishes a newsletter three times a year, offers presentations, conducts walking tours, and collaborates with other historic organizations and educational institutions to educate the public about the inspiring history of the Capital Region, its impact on the history of New York State and the nation, and its relevance for us today.
