The Importance of Archiving Black History: Community Reading of Frederick Douglass’s “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July” and Conversation with Panel
February 28 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join with community members to share in a community reading of Frederick Douglass’s 1852 speech, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July”, with conversation and panelist remarks to follow.
Those attending will have their personal reading included in an archive with ADK Black Experience, a video recording of the event will be archived online, and an audio recording will play on Sanctuary for Independent Media’s radio station, and other radio stations that are interested, every July Fourth.
