The Continuing Revolution

October 22, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

October is New York State History Month and Archives Month. With the upcoming 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, the New York State Museum is focusing its History Month programming on exploring topics of the American Revolution.

As part of this month of programming, we’d like to explore, in a panel discussion, the Unfinished Revolution. This discussion will focus on the continuing work to bring equal rights to all communities and all New Yorkers.

Join Jennifer Lemak, chief curator for the New York State Museum, Ashley Hopkins-Benton, senior historian and curator of social history for the State Museum, and Paul and Mary Liz Stewart, independent researchers and cofounders of Underground Railroad Education Center, in a lively panel discussion about the Continuing Revolution for all New Yorkers.

Additional information about this community event that will be held in the Huxley auditorium at the New York State Museum can be found by clicking https://www.nysm.nysed.gov/historymonth
