Members of the Rotterdam Seniors will join with Paul and Mary Liz Stewart at The Stephen and Harriet Myers Residence to learn the real story about the Underground Railroad. Hidey holes? Nope. Dark of night? Nope. They will ‘meet’ Stephen and Harriet Myers and their colleagues to learn about the challenges they faced as they worked to end the institution of enslavement in New York State and the nation and help Freedom Seekers to freedom while also addressing civil rights issues that are familiar to us today.
