Join in the commemoration of this important date in American history commemorating June 19, 1865, the day when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War. In honor of this history, collaborators in Albany are joinng together again this year to commemorate in a variety of ways this important event in American history.
