John Brown America 250: Renewing the Revolution – a family friendly event
On John Brown’s birthday, May 9, join with others for a free event at the John Brown Farm State Historic Site to commemorate John Brown’s Birthday with music, fellowship, and awards to those living in the spirit of John Brown’s legacy.
Bus transportation from Albany to the John Brown Historic Site in Lake Placid and back to Albany is arranged. Bus tickets: $45 for UREC members / $55 for UREC non-members.
Can’t afford a bus ticket but want to participate? We’ve got you covered! Email UREC at https://undergroundrailroadhistory.org/contact/ to request a sponsorship.
Can you sponsor a ticket for someone else who would like to participate but cannot afford a ticket? Click on the Purchase Bus Tickets link above.
Food and drink at this event are pretty minimal, so bring your own food and drink if you like. We will stop at Mr. Mike’s Pizza and Italian Kitchen when the event is over and before heading back to Albany. Please be prepared to pay for your own selection. See: Mr. Mike’s menu.
