DECEMBER DASH 2022 – join your donation with others as we dash faster and higher than last year
December 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022
Let’s dash faster and higher than we did in 2021!. Let your donation contribute to a more equitable and just society – Donate today and throughout this Giving Season to UREC as we link yesterday with today, working together to build a better tomorrow.
Your contribution will support the transforming work of UREC as we prepare our teens to be leaders for tomorrow, as we educate to bring about equity and justice in our world, as we preserve and celebrate the voices and spaces of those written out of the American Narrative, and as we engage the past with our present and look to the future with justice as our standard.
Donations can be postal mailed to Underground Railroad Education Center at 194 Livingston Avenue, Albany, NY 12210 or made online via credit card or PayPal on the UREC donate page – https://undergroundrailroadhistory.org/donate/

About Young Abolitionist Leadership Institute – “I learned teamwork and problem solving. Compared to school we get to talk more and get to know each other and we built that friendship and bond so that we became comfortable with each other. I like how everyone is really friendly. There are all kinds of people here. Everyone treats each other with respect. I didn’t even know who Stephen and Harriet Myers were before I came here. When I learned about the abolitionists, I am reminded of how things still are today. I want to encourage my friends to come here, even though it is far from my house.” (SM)
About The Myers Residence – “This house stands as a testament to champions of freedom and is a gem to this part of Albany and American history. Great and long-standing efforts.” (SR)
About FreedomCon – “I learned a lot from FreedomCon 2022 and was impressed by all the knowledge people held together. I will continue to follow UREC’s events and look into local involvement for change in my community.” (PP)
