SUMMARY:Indigenous Education & Tribal Sovereignty Panel - in collaboration with Excelsior University
DESCRIPTION:In celebration of National Native American Heritage Month\, Excelsior University’s Center for Social Justice\, together with the Race & Ethnicity Rope Team and Religion & Spirituality Rope Team\, is proud to partner with Fielding Graduate University and colleagues connected to the Navajo Nation for a timely and important virtual dialogue exploring the intersection of Indigenous education\, tribal sovereignty\, and higher education. \nThis special two-hour moderated panel\, “Indigenous Education and Tribal Sovereignty\,” invites participants to engage with a conversation that moves beyond viewing Indigenous education as simply a diversity initiative. Instead\, the discussion centers Indigenous doctoral education as an expression of tribal sovereignty\, examining how universities can build meaningful relationships with Tribal Nations that honor self-determination\, treaty responsibilities\, and government-to-government relationships. \nFor more information and Registration click HERE
