SUMMARY:Freedom 2027 - October Planning Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Underground Railroad Consortium of New York State is launching Freedom 2027 – New York’s Abolition Bicentennial initiative to acknowledge and commemorate the two-hundredth anniversary of the abolition of legal enslavement in New York State. The URCNYS website will also serve as an information hub for research\, essays\, a bibliography\, and other material related to abolition and Underground Railroad history in the state. URCNYS will use its website and other formats to share information about programs sponsored by URCNYS partners as well as programs hosted by other organizations.
