DESCRIPTION:UREC will join NYS archeologist Michael Lucas in an archeological dig in Colonie in order to investigate the life of the Powell family\, the first Black farmers in the Capital Region. Community members are welcome to participate. If interested please contact Paul Stewart in advance at 518-621-7793 (office) or via the CONTACT page at https://undergroundrailroadhistory.org/contact/\nBring lunch\, liquids to drink\, garden gloves\, a willingness to get dirty\, and a curious spirit. Come for morning and afternoon or any portion thereof.\nDigging will start at 9am and conclude by 3pm.
