SUMMARY:Journey to Freedom - Honoring Veterans of the Civil Rights Movement
DESCRIPTION:Join others in honoring the work of 15 local civil rights activists and preview their oral history interviews. Their civil rights involvement included school desegregation in the 1950s\, marching with Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. in the 1960s\, working for voter registration in the South and the North\, and much more.\nYou are invited to a special event honoring these veterans of the Movement to be held at Siena College in the Sarazen Student Union – Maloney Great Room on Saturday\, February 3 from 3pm-4:30pm.
