Paul and Mary Liz Stewart extend an invitation to you to join with others from the NYC area in the formation of a Metro Friends Group for URHP. We hope you will join with us in engaging and strategic actions that will help expand the circle and support and sustain the transformative, paradigm changing work of URHP. With guidance from seasoned professionals we invite you to work with us to develop and expand the outreach, impact, and capacity of Underground Railroad History Project.
The first gathering, hosted by Mark Barth and Sylvia Pirani, will be held at Morningside Retirement and Health Services which is located at 100 LaSalle Street, NYC, NY 10027. The gathering is scheduled for Friday, November 17 from 7pm-8:30pm. Light refreshments will be served. Morningside Retirement and Health Services is generously sponsoring the use of space in its facility.
We are excited about this opportunity to work together. We hope you are too. As Margaret Mead so aptly reminds us, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
It would be appreciated if you would be so kind as to let us know by November 15 of your interest in attending this initial gathering so that we can properly prepare refreshments. Interested family and friends are welcome.
