Musical Bio: Daniel Pascoe Aguilar

Daniel Pascoe Aguilar, PhD, MDiv, developed a passion for music since childhood, performing in a diversity of churches and religious and professional groups/choirs over the years. These opportunities led him to: a) compose dozens of reflective/inspirational songs and five musicals he put on stage with Mexican youth groups, b) record 6 albums of his songs and 7 albums of classical music, and c) focus recently on performing baritone and bass arias from various operas and oratorios.

Daniel’s latest albums include opera arias from selected classical operas, bass arias from Handel’s Messiah and other operas, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, and Bach’s cantatas for bass. Earlier in his career, Daniel had the opportunity to play Suiss recorders with a Baroque music group, sing in the men’s group ASAF and the AMEN choir, and begin his engagement with opera as part of Mexico City’s Coro de la Catedral. Recently, Daniel has had the opportunity to sing Handel’s Messiah and Orff’s Carmina Burana at Carnegie Hall in New York City, as well as to sing at LUISS University in Rome, Italy, at Santo Tomás University in Santiago, Chile, at the Comunidad Teológica Seminary in México, and at multiple community organization events in the New York Capital Region.
